Ok, so our workplace has just recently gotten a proper coffee machine and it was my job to locate a local roaster to supply beans. We have a Brevile barrista Pro, grind set at 12 fill rate for the double group at 12.5. Tried 3 seperate places before Premiato, all flagship blends between $40-$50 a kilo. If you are going to Premiato do not follow your navigator as it takes you around the back. John's place is accessed up a rise from the main road. Also I would give him a call before arriving, I didn't but got lucky as he was there. What drew my attention in the begining was the single origin Tanzanian Kilomanjaro roast he had advertised. Seeing the bean first hand, it's a large medium to dark roast setting it apart from the others I had tried. But the gold stars came on the phenomenal texture and flavour of this coffee. No bitterness. A nutty chocolate after taste that draws you back for a second cup. And then a third. We have a couple of coffee snobs in the group and watching them stare into to cup, speechless at the quality was telling. This batch was roasted on the Monday, we had it in the hopper on Friday giving it plenty of time to degass. And yet 75% of the double draw was creame. And it sat without degrading as we watched. I was at first not going to post a review, thinking to run back and grab the lot for myself, but 30kilos seemed overkill. We have not started the costa-rica bean yet but I would urge all reading this to grab a kilo of that Tanzanian bean and give it a whirl. It truly is unique, with a character and quality I've never seen in all my years. John has worked some magic with this one. Ok Its 1 weeks later and sadly the 1 kilo of Tanzanian is well and truly gone. Now we have the flagship blend Costa D'oro. This is less a unique single origin bean and more a good quality Blend. It's medium roast, has had a week and a half on the shelf with no discernable outgassing in the bag. Same machine, grind and fill settings. you can see the flow and the settled coffee and the difference between the Tanzanian. The blend has solid aroma and a less nutty more coffee flavor to it. The open bag aroma on the Tanzanian is more subtle, while the Costa D'oro you can smell across the room. Good solid flavor, low acidity, no noticeable bitterness with a lingering coffee-chocolate aftertaste. The word around the coffee bar is that its a great combination to the Tanzanian, so we are doing 2 weeks on 2 weeks off with each of the beans to cover all the bases with the 27 that use the machine. Speaking of which I have to give John a call and run by to get more of the Tanzanian asap. I do recommend going to the little shop he has and just walking into the roasting room to... breath in that incredible all encompassing just roasted coffee smell. It's something you don't soon forget. Chris
We've been using Johns coffee beans at the office for a couple of years now and by far it has been the best coffee beans we have had by far. We've tried a few others around the local area but John's stands out as the best every time. I can say with certainty that those who are on the fence, you won't be disappointed.
He does it again & again—John at Premiato Coffee Roasters has crafted another masterpiece with his Colombian blend. It's like magic in a cup, with every sip delivering pure perfection. The flavor is a symphony of richness and depth, with hints of chocolate, caramel, and a burst of Colombian sunshine that brightens even the gloomiest of days. From the first pour to the last drop, it's an experience that never fails to delight. Trust me, once you've tasted John's Colombian blend, you'll wonder how you ever settled for anything less. Chris
Best coffee we have had. And we have tried a few roasters. Nothing compares. John is lovely too
Again, John, came through with the home delivery of the best coffee with some of his new Tanzanian Coffee . With a kind note to wish me well with the COVID I am recovering from
We've been getting coffee from John for about twelve years now and have never been disappointed. In the early days we worked our way through his menu and settled on his Columbian blend because we both like a strong rich coffee. Over the years we have never had a bad batch, and as we usually order every month that's probably over a hundred different batches. That is truly awesome quality control! We have just tried his latest "Dark Columbian" and he has excelled himself. Simply wonderful coffee with strong aroma, amazing body and absolutely no bitter after taste. If you love your coffee than John is the ONLY realiable place to go. If you haven't tried his blends then do so today!
I have been a customer for many years now and have received great service and great product and prompt delivery. John goes out of his way to provide customer satisfaction Highly recommended
We really enjoy this coffee. Our favourite is the Columbian. Guests always comment on how nice our coffee is at home. Thanks John.
I have been buying this coffee for 16 years, even having it sent intestate for the 5 years we were not on the Gold Coast. I won’t have any other for home. It is pure quality and the service is second to none.
John was so wonderful to order from and he was very attentive with any issues we had and really looked after us. Great service and will definitely be ordering from them again! Awesome coffees! We got the organic Colombian and the Costa D'oro blend. Yum! Loved by everyone! Would recommend to anyone! Service like we have seen from this company is very rare these days.
I just came into have a look around and buy some pods and wow what amazing service!! Will definitely be a returning customer!

We love our coffee from Premiato Coffee!!! the fresh aroma of Premiato Coffee wafts through our business daily ... John is always so helpful; drops our coffee off ... it's not just the coffee that's great; the staff are great as well!!! just saying ....
Premiato Coffee is outstanding. We have an Italian food van in Perth, W.A. called Piadina Della Nonna. We heard that their award winning coffee was the best in Australia, and as they stocked a particular Italian roasted bean we wanted (Costa D'oro) we gave them a go. The coffee is AMAZING and we have so many compliments from our customers. John from Premiato Coffee is also an absolute pleasure to deal with, super professional and a really nice person too. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Premiato Coffee to anyone who wants excellent and affordable coffee for their home or business.
