The origin - established in 1931, Mondul Estate is located near the vibrant town of Arusha in northern Tanzania, bordering the vast Mondul Forest Reserve. Combining the remote beauty of Africa with modern agricultural innovation, the estate is dedicated to producing exceptional washed Arabica coffee while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The farm operates its own dairy herd to provide natural fertiliser and milk for staff, while also producing an organic chilli-based pesticide grown directly on the estate to reduce chemical use.
Surrounded by Maasai communities and local wildlife including buffalo, elephant and leopard, Mondul is one of Tanzania’s most unique coffee-growing regions — producing coffees that are as vibrant and memorable as the landscape itself.
