Our Colombian decaf coffee is a medium roast providing dark chocolate and vanilla flavours, full body and sweet lingering finish.
The green coffee is decaffeinated using the mountain water method - which is a non-chemical filtration process using pure water. The soluble caffeine is removed and the beans are dried. The resulting coffee is 99% caffeine free. Please note that the roasted coffee appears darker than usual for a medium roast, due to this process.
It may be of interest that about half of the coffee my family drinks would be this decaf coffee 🙂 Anytime of the day 🙂
Judges' comments for the 2023 Silver medal - "Sweetness is at upfront to the end lingering grapefruit. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel and it holds complexity of flavor with a good body. I am happy to drink this decaf all the time."
