Our Story

It started with a love of coffee… Sounds cliche, but co-owner and master roaster John Boswell met his wife Allison in a coffee shop, proposed in a coffee shop and was married in well, a little old church on a very hot day.

The Business

Operating on the Gold Coast, Premiato Coffee Roasters is, above all else, a family owned and operated business. John and Allison have always held a sincere passion for coffee, so when the roastery came up for sale in 2009, it ticked all the right boxes. The kids have since grown up in and around the coffee scene at Premiato Coffee Roasters and wouldn’t have it any other way.

As one of the few roasteries on the Gold Coast at time of purchase, Premiato Coffee has cemented themselves as experts in their area and have built a loyal following encompassing coffee lovers and aficionados alike.

John and Allison have continued developing their coffee over the years and have won many awards nationwide for blends like Costa D’oro and Bellissimo. Premiato Coffee Roasters roast their beans in-house and have pioneered unique Nitro Coffee offerings on the Gold Coast.

The Ethos

Premiato Coffee Roasters have a deep love for the Gold Coast. Providing the local community with high quality, fresh coffee is a sincere passion of theirs. Premiato Coffee supports local businesses by sourcing their equipment from local vendors wherever possible.

The Environment

Premiato Coffee Roasters’ takeaway cups use biodegradable lids and the cups are the product of sustainable forestry processes. Fully recyclable and Australian made, such processes ring true to Premiato Coffee Roasters’ philosophies which support an eco-friendly and sustainable future.
